2009 Wray Fair details and Wray Scarecrow Festival Calendar 2009:

Sacrecrows on display ALL THROUGH THE WEEK FROM SATURDAY 25TH APRIL UNTIL THE END OF WRAY FAIR DAY MONDAY 4TH MAY 2009.

Theme for Wray Scarecrow Festival 2009 is "Your favourite kids TV program over the years"
The week of Wray Scarecrow Festival 2009 starts on Saturday, 25th April 2009 with the 10k road race, and continued until Monday 4th May when the annual fair is held on the school field as usual.

Sat 25th April
Road Race starts 1.15pm - Registration at Institute or pre-register via email

Sun 26th April
Car Boot Sale from 8 am onwards on the School Field

Fri 1st May
GRAND PARADE OF THE SCARECROWS, HUGE SAMBA BAND AND MORE - NOT TO BE MISSED - COME EARLY!! 8pm Walking with Giants - Grand Parade of Giant Scarecrows & Prize presentations.

Sat 2nd May
North West Lawn Mower Racing Association - 2009 NWLMRA Championships - Home Farm Field.

NEW: 12 noon Saturday, HARLEY DAVIDSON Motorcycle rally - Home Farm Close - BROOM BROOM !

Sun 3rd May Balls a-Wray!!
2 pm Scarecrow Ball Race
Mke sure YOU have at least one ball in the river (ooer missus) - CASH prizes £100, £50, £25.00 - balls away at 2pm, finish at the bridge alongside the Tea Rooms/ Garden Centre. Buy your balls from: George and Dragon, Inn at Wray, Tea Rooms, Greenfoot Garden Centre, Post Office.

Guided tours of the village and scarecrows are held throughout the week.

Information updates/any changes will be published on Notice Board at the Institute and on Wray Village Website

Wheelchairs are available for visitors during the Festival

There will be occasions during the Road Race, Giant Scarecrow Parade and Wray Fair Day when Traffic Control will be in place.
